REV2 Plate & Shimmer Reverb

REV2 is Nodens Software's 3rd plug-in, that has been on and off development since December, 2024. Finally, the project has been given the attention needed to be released into a plug-in, and is now available to download for free. It sounds like a mix of plate with shimmer and is excellent at making sharp, metallic sounds.

This plug-in uses the technologies JUCE for the reverb, and FAUST for the shimmer algorythm.

Supported Platforms:

Linux (Unofficially under Yabridge)

Installation Guide (Windows): Execute the installation script as administrator, this is needed as it needs to install a font pack into your system, which requires registry entries. You can aslo install it manually by dragging the files into the appropriate directories if needed.

Zones and their functions:
Dry/Wet: Controls the global Dry and Wet levels of the plug-in.
Reverb Parameters: Features 3 controls: Width; Decay and Damping.
Filters: The "PRE" section allows you to apply a High Pass Filter (HPF) and a Low Pass Filter (LPF) to the signal before it goes into the reverb. This filter can be bypassed by pressing the On/Off switch. The "POST" section allows you to apply a HPF and a LPF to the signal exiting the reverb. It too can be bypassed by pressing It's On/Off switch. All 4 filters are of the Biquad variety.
Shimmer: Basic knob that controls the amount of shimmer that goes into the signal.
Autopan: Features the Autopan's parameters, which are respectively, "Rate", "Bypass" and "Depth". Rate controls how fast the sine-shaped panning happens. Bypass simply toggles it on and off by bypassing Autopan entirely. Depth controls how intense the Autopan is by amplitude.
